Bath – The Roman Baths

The Romans called Bath Aquae Sulis – literally The Waters of Sulis (a Roman goddess). Today the Roman Baths remain and are the main attraction for most of the people who visit the city. Bath, of course, is named for its Roman Baths. The largest and most photogenic is the Great Bath (above), which lies a stone's throw away from Bath Abbey and Bath city centre.
